Management Accountant

About the role

The Partnership Agency is looking for a meticulous and analytical Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in Nairobi. The role covers financial planning, analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions, advising management and directors on the company's finances and those of its affiliates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial strategies, including risk minimisation plans and business opportunity forecasting
• Prepare high-level financial reports and analyse actual project spending
• Set up debt limits and maintain the debtors and creditors list
• Prepare and consolidate budgets regularly, and provide financial analysis and forecasting reports to management
• Manage cash flow and working capital, and handle debt management and collection
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, company tax books and corporate statutory compliance reports
• Advise management on financial matters and improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage payroll, process salary disbursements and oversee benefits and compensation packages
• Work with management and executives to prepare, share and analyse reports, and carry out stakeholder management

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)
• Proven experience as a management accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role
• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles, and excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Excellent knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
