Market Access Lead, Market Dynamics

About the role

PATH is seeking a Market Access Lead to strengthen access to essential health products and improve supply chains across public and private sectors. The role combines health‑science knowledge with commercial and analytical expertise to turn market insights into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze health product markets, supply chains and procurement systems to identify opportunities for improved access, affordability and sustainability.
• Develop and support implementation of public‑ and private‑sector supply chain strategies, including forecasting, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution.
• Assist partners in strengthening procurement capacity and design contingency and surge logistics plans.
• Translate technical and scientific information into practical business and implementation recommendations.
• Support introduction, scale‑up and optimisation of health products, particularly in maternal, newborn and child health or respiratory care.
• Conduct field‑level analyses and provide hands‑on technical support to stakeholders.
• Prepare technical deliverables, reports, presentations and strategic recommendations for donors and health‑sector partners.
• Oversee project implementation across multiple geographies and manage day‑to‑day responsibilities of project staff.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as business, health sciences, public health or a related discipline.
• Experience in health‑product markets, pharmaceutical, medical device, life‑sciences, manufacturing, distribution or healthcare sectors.
• Proven ability to conduct independent market analysis and develop supply‑chain strategies.
• Experience working with public and private sector stakeholders in low‑ and middle‑income country contexts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on implementation focus.
