Marketing Consultant (3-Month Assignment)

About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Consultant on a three‑month contract to explore and develop specialty tea opportunities for Chebango in Kenya and beyond. The consultant will lead market research, design promotional strategies and support product positioning to grow the specialty tea segment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on trends, pricing, competitors and consumer preferences for specialty teas.
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans for selected tea brands.
• Identify, pilot and evaluate promising specialty tea opportunities.
• Support brand positioning, packaging design and product differentiation.
• Prepare market intelligence reports, forecasts and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality and logistics teams to ensure regulatory and export compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in product and market development, preferably in tea or non‑alcoholic beverages.
• Strong commercial analysis, customer focus and results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
