Marketing Engineer (Electrical/Networking)

About the role

FacilityOps AI builds autonomous inspection robots for data centers and critical facilities. It wants to grow its online community so more people find the company, and needs an engineer to do it because the audience is technical. The role is full-time, hybrid (2 to 3 days a week at the Nairobi office), starting as temporary with a path to permanent, paid $600 to $1,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Publish and manage content on Medium and Substack
• Join relevant Reddit communities and technical discussions
• Manage posting and engagement on LinkedIn, X, Facebook and other platforms
• Reply to comments and messages and build relationships with community members
• Track leads and interactions in Zoho CRM and Apollo
• Report weekly on engagement, growth and inbound leads

Required profile

• Degree or work background in software engineering
• Hands-on experience with Medium, Substack, Reddit and the major social platforms
• Familiarity with CRMs such as Zoho and Apollo
• Strong written English
• Able to juggle several tasks and work independently; reliable internet and a working laptop

Nice to have

• Electrical or network engineering background
• Experience growing an online community or audience
• Interest in robotics, data centers or B2B marketing
