Marketing Lead

About the role

Zakatek is building technology that helps religious institutions and charitable organisations manage projects, track disbursements, report to their communities and fundraise with confidence. We are looking for a Marketing Lead to own the end‑to‑end fundraising pipeline, driving both partner acquisition and donor growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the fundraising pipeline from sourcing and pitching charitable organisations to securing their first successful fundraise on the platform.
• Develop positioning, segment priority, and multichannel marketing plans for both partner and donor audiences.
• Design and run onboarding journeys that accelerate new organisations to their first live project.
• Plan and execute paid, organic, community and referral campaigns to increase donor acquisition, repeat giving and average gift size.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records, forecasts and budget guidelines in the CRM.
• Produce analytics reports, extract insights and present results to senior leadership monthly.
• Represent Zakatek at community events and sector convenings.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building a fundraising or partnership pipeline from scratch.
• Experience meeting growth or revenue targets, not just delivering individual campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to boards, committees and community leaders.
• Ability to work autonomously within a small, fast‑moving team.
