Marketing Trainee Program

About the role

The Marketing Trainee will work within the Sales & Marketing department of Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi, reporting to the Training Manager. This programme is designed for recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience in hotel marketing and communications.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement the hotel media and marketing plan, coordinating with external agencies.
• Monitor campaign ROI, response rates and suggest corrective actions.
• Plan and execute direct marketing activities both online and offline.
• Maintain guest mailing database and support F&B promotional initiatives.
• Produce and manage marketing collateral, giveaways and picture storage systems.
• Provide website content and images in line with corporate identity.
• Act as brand custodian, ensuring all creatives are approved by Corporate Marketing before release.
• Coordinate with internal departments, agencies and suppliers for promotional events and campaigns.
• Conduct market benchmarking, competition checks and stay updated on marketing trends.
• Support sales and marketing training programmes and propose corrective actions based on performance data.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Marketing (or related) from a recognized institution.
• Recent graduate (less than one year since completion) and Kenyan citizen.
• Ability to work in a multinational environment with excellent grooming and professional etiquette.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, outgoing learning attitude.
