Mechanical Technician – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to ensure the reliable operation of our industrial machinery and production equipment. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical faults, and supporting plant shutdowns and overhauls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production and plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, belts, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential failures.
• Install, assemble, align, and commission new equipment.
• Replace worn or damaged mechanical components.
• Support planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical and production teams during troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring faults.
• Follow safety, permit‑to‑work, and lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Practical experience with industrial machinery and power‑transmission systems.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production setting.
