Medical Assistant I – Bilingual Hmong

About the role

Medical Assistant I – Bilingual Hmong provides clinical support in a fast‑paced health center, assisting providers and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and update electronic health records.
• Prepare exam rooms, assist providers during examinations, and perform minor procedures under supervision.
• Collect and label specimens, conduct basic lab tests (UA/UPT, EKG, HGB) and administer medications/vaccines as ordered.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, monitor vaccine storage temperatures, and ensure proper sanitation of clinical areas.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and third‑party services, and travel to other clinics for coverage as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of medical or clinical experience (preferred).
• Fluent verbal communication in both Hmong and English.
• Ability to follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems such as IMS, EPIC, and Dentrix.
