Medical Science Liaison East Africa

About the role

Roche is seeking a senior Medical Science Liaison for its Diagnostics portfolio in East Africa. Based in Nairobi, you will act as the scientific and clinical bridge between Roche and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of scientific expertise across assigned therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Critically analyse medical literature, clinical trial designs and outcomes, and communicate insights internally and externally.
• Deliver educational workshops, seminars and scientific briefings on Roche diagnostic tests to physicians, laboratory technologists and scientists.
• Support the design and execution of clinical trials and other scientific investigations.
• Represent Roche Diagnostics at national, regional and international scientific conferences.
• Organise and manage advisory boards and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Ensure all activities comply with Good Promotional Practices, Roche quality and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical, scientific or clinical role (senior level).
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics and current laboratory/clinical practices.
• Proven ability to analyse scientific data and present findings clearly.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to coordinate educational events and advisory boards.
