Member of Technical Staff – Legal Research (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to lead legal research initiatives for a global software development leader. Working remotely, you will translate complex legal and regulatory frameworks into actionable technical solutions that guide product development and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and summarize statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to product features.
• Design and build technical frameworks or tools that automate parts of the legal research workflow.
• Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to embed legal insights into design decisions.
• Monitor emerging legal trends and assess their impact on current and future technology solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation and guidelines that support legal compliance throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal education.
• Proven experience in legal research, regulatory analysis, and compliance assessment.
• Ability to convert legal concepts into precise technical requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and written communication skills.
