Member of Technical Staff - Research Engineering (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff in Research Engineering to join a leading Information Services company. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable AI solutions and optimizing the Micro1 research platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and implement engineering solutions that improve AI model performance and scalability.
• Optimize research pipelines to increase computational efficiency and lower latency in distributed environments.
• Collaborate with data‑science and engineering teams to move research outcomes into production‑grade systems.
• Conduct performance benchmarking, identify bottlenecks, and guide architectural decisions.
• Document methodologies, experimental results, and technical specifications for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or Rust for high‑performance computing.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Dask or Ray.
• Background in machine‑learning systems, model optimization and inference acceleration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, optimization techniques and numerical libraries (NumPy, SciPy).
