Mental Health Therapist (Full‑/Part‑Time, Hybrid)

About the role

NAWE is a social enterprise expanding its digital therapy platform across Africa. As a Mental Health Therapist you will deliver evidence‑based psychological services to individuals, couples, families and groups through both in‑person and online sessions, contributing to greater access to quality mental health care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and counselling assessments.
• Provide individual, couples, family and group therapy sessions.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical documentation.
• Deliver services in line with the Counsellors and Psychologists Act, professional ethics and NAWE clinical protocols.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations and continuous professional development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care.
• Promote mental health awareness through workshops, webinars and community outreach when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Psychology or a related mental‑health field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Valid practising licence from the Counsellors and Psychologists Board (CPB), Kenya.
• Minimum of one year post‑licensure clinical experience.
• Experience providing counselling or psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families or groups.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent ethical judgment and commitment to professional standards.
