MEP Procurement Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

About the role

The MEP Procurement Engineer will manage sourcing and procurement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing materials and services for MEP projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budgets and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and manage MEP suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations and conduct cost comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines and supplier terms.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to confirm technical specifications.
• Manage procurement from requisition through to final delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain procurement records, reports and documentation.
• Ensure procurement complies with project requirements, company policies and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in MEP procurement, engineering procurement, construction procurement or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials and equipment.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, cost comparison and negotiation.
• Good communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, project management and suppliers.
