Merchandiser (Hair Products) - 5 Positions

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring five full-time merchandisers for its FMCG and beauty/personal care business, based in Nakuru and Kisumu. The role covers displaying hair products in retail outlets, keeping them stocked and supporting sales.

Key responsibilities

• Display hair products properly and keep them well organised and highly visible across assigned outlets, following approved merchandising standards, promotions, displays and point-of-sale activities.
• Monitor shelf positioning so products match brand guidelines.
• Watch stock levels, flag out-of-stock, slow-moving, damaged or near-expiry items and support stock replenishment to minimise stock-outs.
• Promote products, identify customer needs and encourage purchases, while building good relationships with retailers, shop attendants and outlet managers.
• Track competitors' products, pricing, promotions and displays, and give feedback on customer preferences and market trends.
• Submit accurate daily and weekly merchandising and outlet activity reports.

Required profile

• Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in merchandising, sales, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty or hair products.
• Previous retail or field experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of product merchandising and retail sales.
• Energetic, proactive and comfortable working in the field, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, independence and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
