Mid Level Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Mid Level Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within our banking and finance operations in Nairobi. The role involves defining project scope, managing resources, and ensuring delivery against business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and plan projects, develop business cases and obtain charter sign‑off.
• Manage project governance, forecast costs, cash flow, timelines and resource needs, and report to the Project Steering Committee.
• Organise and chair sub‑project meetings, monitor risks, issues and changes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Agree resource plans with the accountable executive, lead sub‑project teams, provide coaching and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Maintain regular stakeholder communication, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management framework, IT security policies and operational risk controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of project management experience, preferably in banking, finance or insurance.
• Proven ability to develop business cases, manage budgets and timelines, and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Strong risk and issue management capabilities and familiarity with governance structures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
