Model Behavior Monitor
Gulf Associates · Nairobi
Job description
About the role
Gulf Associates is seeking a part‑time Model Behavior Monitor to support its internal research and commercial advisory processes. Working fully remotely, you will help ensure that the outputs of the AI models used for data gathering and investment scenario analysis remain accurate, relevant, and grounded in real‑world market conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor daily model outputs and compare them against verified commercial facts.
- Flag instances where model content defaults to generic theory rather than reflecting actual deal realities.
- Conduct spot checks on data sources to confirm relevance and validity for partners.
- Draft concise internal memos summarising model drift, recurring errors, and context‑specific issues.
- Assist in refining input data for scenario work involving sovereign entities and family groups.
- Organise feedback logs that partners use to adjust research and data‑gathering protocols.
- Analyse how models handle complex partnership structures and joint‑venture logic.
- Support preparation of internal briefings by verifying evidence behind model‑suggested positions.
Required profile
- Disciplined approach to reviewing long‑form commercial documents and technical outputs.
- Strong, objective writing skills with an emphasis on clarity and brevity.
- Natural curiosity about large‑scale investments and commercial partnerships.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote setting.
- Basic understanding of how large language models function and a healthy skepticism toward automated answers.
- Educational background in business, law, economics, computer science, or a related field.
- Capacity to manage consistent part‑time hours and meet research‑review deadlines.
Required skills
- Familiarity with modern web tools.
- Basic understanding of large language model concepts.
What we offer
- Full remote flexibility with no travel requirements.
- Competitive pay rate aligned with current market standards.
- Direct insight into senior partners’ negotiation and regulatory strategies.
- Work schedule that can be balanced with other studies or professional commitments.
- Exposure to commercial judgment applied to filter and verify automated research.
