About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager is a senior technical position responsible for delivering high‑quality, decision‑relevant evidence that drives strategy, adaptive management, and governance across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Operationalize and steward the mission‑level Theory of Change and Impact Framework, manage the Indicator Compendium and enforce indicator governance.
- Lead data quality assurance processes, including routine verification, spot checks, audits and methodological reviews.
- Manage and continuously improve the organization’s data management platform, ensuring integration with field data collection tools and GIS/spatial analytics.
- Maintain institutional dashboards, visualization products and ensure interoperability between project‑level MEL systems and enterprise aggregation frameworks.
- Support structured learning cycles, produce decision‑oriented learning products, and maintain the Mission Knowledge Repository.
- Coordinate internal and external evaluations and oversee management response processes.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning and impact measurement.
- Proven ability to design and enforce MEL standards, data governance and ethical evidence‑use protocols.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience translating field evidence into strategic insights for leadership and boards.
