About the role

We are seeking two dedicated morticians to join our funeral services team in Kabati, Murang'a County. This full‑time position involves preparing deceased individuals with dignity and ensuring all mortuary operations meet professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, preserve, and present deceased persons according to established mortuary procedures.
• Perform embalming when qualified and required.
• Receive, identify, document, and manage the admission and release of bodies.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well‑maintained mortuary facilities and equipment.
• Follow strict infection‑prevention protocols and use appropriate PPE.
• Accurately record admissions, releases, and preparation details.
• Provide compassionate support and clear guidance to bereaved families.
• Report equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Mortuary Science, Funeral Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a mortuary or funeral services environment.
• Professional training in embalming is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mortuary preparation and embalming techniques.
• Understanding of infection‑prevention and health‑safety regulations.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
