About the role
The mortician will provide mortuary services within the hospital, including the preparation and preservation of bodies. The position is on‑site at AIC Kijabe Hospital in Nairobi and is a full‑time role. Candidates must hold a relevant certificate or diploma and have experience in a hospital mortuary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide mortuary services within the hospital
- Prepare and preserve bodies according to professional standards
Required profile
- Certificate or Diploma in Mortuary Science, Anatomy or a related field
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
- At least 6 months experience working in mortuary services, preferably in a hospital environment
- Strong relational skills including empathy, influence, motivation, and openness to feedback
- Upholds high ethical standards in personal behaviour and professional responsibilities
- Ability to follow standard precautions and infection control procedures at all times
