MSC Riding Gang Administrative Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking an MSC Riding Gang Administrative Specialist to provide primary administrative support for a U.S. Navy program operating from Diego Garcia. The role ensures seamless coordination of personnel, documentation, and logistics for Riding Gang teams working on MSC vessel maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the central point for onboarding, travel, crew‑list, and documentation for Riding Gang personnel.
• Prepare, process, and maintain personnel records, safety certifications, background checks, and training files.
• Track work assignments, labor hours, and project progress while vessels are underway or in port.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation related to Riding Gang operations.
• Support scheduling of maintenance activities and coordinate with ship leadership, supervisors, and Amentum management.
• Assist with procurement requests, material tracking, and logistical coordination for tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on personnel status and operational impacts.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, maritime operations, or maintenance coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in administration, logistics, or maritime operations preferred.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain country‑specific visas.
