Nursing Tutor – Clinical Instruction & Lectures

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nursing Tutor to deliver lectures and clinical instruction to nursing students at our training college in Nairobi. The role involves guiding students through practical skills, assessing their performance, and supporting their academic development within a hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures as part of a formal curriculum and host tutorials and small‑group teaching sessions.
• Assess students, prepare clinical case material, and evaluate practical skills.
• Utilise a range of teaching and assessment methods to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.
• Provide direct assistance with equipment, learning objects, and materials needed for student success.
• Instruct and supervise students in relevant clinical subject areas.
• Offer academic counseling and advice to students.
• Set tests, evaluate practical skills, and prepare timetables and instructional materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Minimum two years experience as a Tutor in a clinical or academic setting.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya in good standing and a current practising licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
