Officer, Training and Development

About the role

The Officer, Training and Development will coordinate AWARD training activities across in‑person, virtual and blended formats, supporting fellowship programmes and partner institutions. The role ensures high‑quality curriculum design, trainer management and knowledge‑management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute training courses, prepare materials, manage venues and communicate logistics to participants.
• Design and update curricula, develop learning modules, facilitator guides and learner resources for hybrid delivery.
• Manage trainer contracts, budgets, onboarding, and ensure compliance with HR and procurement requirements.
• Maintain digital and physical learning repositories, support LMS administration and analyse usage data.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, training and development or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in capacity development and managing training programmes, preferably in an international organization.
• Professional certification in virtual facilitation and e‑learning instructional design.

Required skills

• Administration of a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Technical support for live online events and virtual/blended learning platforms.
• Design of e‑learning content and instructional materials.
• Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
