Operations Assistant – Centre for Nature Economy

About the role

The Centre for Nature Economy needs a practical, hands‑on Operations Assistant to keep the site running smoothly. You will support daily facility management, visitor reception, stock control and basic maintenance, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for staff, learners and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening, closing and routine operational checks, reporting any issues promptly.
• Manage access to the Centre, issue and collect keys, and maintain the key register.
• Oversee visitor, contractor and supplier sign‑in/out procedures and keep an accurate log.
• Receive deliveries, direct visitors and provide site information.
• Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping tasks across buildings, accommodation and grounds.
• Prepare accommodation, support hospitality needs and assist with event set‑up.
• Maintain stock, inventory records and coordinate supplies and deliveries.
• Support vehicle and transport logistics as required.
• Complete operational checklists, logs and follow standard operating procedures.

• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
