Operations Manager – Business Operations & Growth

About the role

The Operations Manager will be the central driver of business operations for Jawabu Biashara Limited, a regulated credit‑only institution. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role focuses on scaling growth, maintaining portfolio quality, and boosting staff productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all operational activities, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, improve market presence, and optimise lead generation.
• Mentor and manage business development teams to achieve performance targets.
• Mitigate business risks, enforce policy compliance, and protect company interests.
• Spend approximately 75% of time in the field, overseeing internal and external customer relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on senior management experience in the micro‑finance sector, including field office oversight.
• Proven leadership abilities with a performance‑driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking and business insight.
• High ethical standards, integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Suites).
• Advanced use of Google Sheets for tracking and data analysis.
• Strong data analytic capabilities.
