Operations Site Coordinator for IRS Programs

About the role

The Operations Site Coordinator will oversee indoor residual spraying (IRS) activities in designated sites across Busia and Siaya counties. Reporting to the IRS Coordinator, the role ensures that spray calendars and operational plans are executed effectively, supporting malaria vector control and related health interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise at least three spray teams, ensuring quality spraying and accurate data collection.
• Coordinate mobilization efforts, update spray calendars, and maintain village maps.
• Manage inventory, property, and logistics, including vehicle logs and insecticide waste handling.
• Support data synchronization to central databases and maintain daily performance trackers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community‑based programs with at least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to work long hours, reside within the site jurisdiction, and travel using local transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using mobile data collection applications and DHIS‑2.
• Ability to work with GPS coordinates and basic logistics management.
