Part-time Remote Peer Reviewer – Critical Care Medicine (PhD)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in a relevant field to join our editorial team as part-time remote peer reviewers for manuscripts in Critical Care Medicine. This long-term, stable position allows you to contribute to the scientific community from anywhere while maintaining your own research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up-to-date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer-reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methods and ethical standards.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience reviewing for academic journals is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
