Part‑time PhD Peer Reviewer – Pathology

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PhD holder in pathology to join our team as a part‑time peer reviewer. This long‑term, stable position supports remote work and involves evaluating manuscripts submitted to academic journals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results, conclusions, and ethical considerations.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in pathology or a related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
