Patent Engineer – AI & Industrial Solutions (Up to 140k CHF)

About the role

We are looking for a Patent Engineer to join our headquarters in Heerbrugg, Switzerland. The role focuses on intellectual property matters related to AI-driven and industrial solutions, working closely with R&D, senior management, project teams and the legal department. Fluency in German and English is required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of new legal regulations concerning IP.
• Assist with patent filings for computer‑implemented inventions in AI and industrial domains.
• Collaborate with project management, product management, legal experts and R&D across the group.
• Coordinate with external counsel on IP matters.
• Develop, coordinate and roll out IP‑related processes, training and workshops.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property and patents.
• Experience in research or project management is a plus.
• Excellent analytical abilities and high flexibility.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
