Payments Manager

About the role

Verto is looking for a Payments Manager to lead and scale its payment operations. You will own the day‑to‑day execution of payment processes, ensure reliability and security, and work closely with product, technology, compliance and customer success teams to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily payment operations, manage queues and guarantee timely, accurate transaction processing.
• Act as the primary escalation point for payment incidents, lead swift resolution and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Design, document and roll out new operational processes that are robust, compliant and scalable.
• Lead critical payment‑related projects from initiation to delivery, meeting timelines and quality standards.
• Analyse operational data and payment metrics to identify trends, insights and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, engineering, compliance and customer success to align on strategic objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear reports on performance and project status.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing payment operations or similar high‑volume transaction environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to handle escalations under pressure.
• Effective communicator who can work across multidisciplinary teams.
