Payroll Data Entry Specialist – Support Role

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Data Entry Specialist to join our fast‑moving payroll and HR operations team. The role goes beyond simple data entry; you will be a proactive team player who steps in wherever support is needed to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Enter employee time, hours, job codes, and pay data accurately into the payroll system on schedule.
• Verify time‑entry submissions for completeness and flag any missing or inconsistent data.
• Support the payroll cycle by maintaining organized records and ensuring compliance with certified payroll and prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and project teams to resolve data discrepancies.
• Respond to payroll‑related employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and new‑hire data entry, including pay rates, deductions, and direct‑deposit details.
• Provide general HR administrative support, such as document management and onboarding paperwork.
• Take on overflow tasks and special projects as part of an all‑hands‑on‑deck environment.

Required profile

• Prior experience in payroll data entry, HR administration, or a closely related role.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, recognizing the impact of payroll errors.
• Ability to maintain speed and precision while handling high‑volume data.
