About the role
The Payroll Officer will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for assigned countries. This fixed‑term position (one‑year) operates on a hybrid model with three days per week in the office and requires legal eligibility to work in Kenya or Jordan.
Key responsibilities
- Validate and process payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, allowances, deductions and benefits.
- Prepare payroll templates for review and obtain approval from the Payroll Consultant.
- Maintain up‑to‑date payroll records in line with Information Governance and Records Management policies.
- Support compliance with local tax, pension and social security regulations and assist with audit readiness.
- Manage employee payroll queries through the case management system (e.g., C4C) and collaborate with HR, Finance and external vendors.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in Kenya or Jordan at the time of application.
- Willingness to work onsite three days per week under a hybrid model.
- Experience with end‑to‑end payroll processing and familiarity with statutory payroll regulations.
- Ability to handle payroll‑related cases promptly and maintain accurate documentation.
