Payroll Specialist

About the role

Teleperformance is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Nairobi (Westlands) to oversee and process monthly time and attendance and company data accurately and on time, according to the payroll calendar and deadlines. The role also handles payroll-related enquiries and keeps payroll information confidential.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the time and attendance system and data
• Collect, calculate and prepare payroll data
• Answer calls and emails about payroll and maintain the payroll mailbox
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by gathering and analysing information
• Answer questions and requests about payroll
• Follow policies and procedures and report on them
• Keep payroll information confidential and handle other administrative duties

Required profile

• Finance, HR, payroll or administrative qualification (advantageous)
• Previous data, information management or administrative experience (essential)
• Proven payroll or time and attendance experience (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently, communicate well and support a team

Required skills

• Intermediate MS Office (essential)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel (essential)
• Numerical and data entry skills, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Financial software knowledge (advantageous)
