People Partner - Sub-Saharan Africa

About the role

As a Senior People Partner for Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya, you will own the end‑to‑end HR partnership across four of Glovo’s fastest‑growing African markets. You will drive talent density, retention and performance while embedding Glovo’s high‑performance culture in a fast‑scaling, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with GMs and local management teams to align people strategy with business priorities.
• Manage and support four Operations Managers, ensuring seamless HR service delivery.
• Own full HR 360 processes end‑to‑end while staying aligned with global HR Centres of Excellence.
• Use workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, diagnose root causes and recommend business‑aligned solutions.
• Influence and adapt HR CoE‑designed solutions (Rewards, L&D, Talent Management) to fit local needs.
• Drive talent density and retention, partnering with leaders on performance management for top and low performers.
• Lead organizational design and re‑org processes, balancing business outcomes with employee experience.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and work inspection requirements across all four markets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including at least 4 years in full HR Generalist roles.
• Fluency in English; French required for the Ivory Coast market.
• Hands‑on experience with HR Tech (HRIS, ATS) and reporting HR metrics.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya.
• Nice to have: people‑management experience, knowledge of labour‑law contexts across West/East Africa, and experience in a multinational environment with structured processes and reporting.
