Personnel Security Analyst

About the role

The Personnel Security Analyst will support ASIC’s Protective Security function by assessing the suitability of staff to access sensitive and classified information. You will conduct criminal, financial and character checks, analyse data from multiple sources and provide recommendations that protect the organisation and its stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct personnel security assessments in line with ASIC and Government policy.
• Perform criminal history, financial and character checks using internal and external databases.
• Analyse information from varied sources to identify risks and make clear recommendations.
• Deliver assessment services according to agreed KPIs and service level agreements.
• Support Protective Security operations, including audits, reporting and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or experience in security, vetting, investigations, public safety, risk or emergency services.
• Experience conducting checks, data searches or managing sensitive information.
• Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret varied information sources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict timeframes and complete mandatory training (Personnel Security Cert IV).

• Salary range $81,396 – $93,303 per year plus 15.4% superannuation.
