Pharmaceutical Technologist

About the role

We are looking for two Pharmaceutical Technologists to join Dox Pharma’s pharmacy team in Solai, Nakuru County. The role focuses on day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, ensuring safe dispensing, reliable medicine availability and high‑quality patient service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily dispensing and pharmacy workflows in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret prescriptions, dispense medicines, and provide medication counselling to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate stock records, monitor expiries, support replenishment and conduct stock counts.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, documentation and pharmacovigilance for all medicines, including controlled substances.
• Record operational data and contribute to routine reporting on sales, inventory, stock‑outs and expiries.
• Deliver a professional patient experience while identifying opportunities to improve pharmacy operations and service quality.
• Collaborate with the Dox team and the healthcare facility’s clinical staff to provide seamless patient‑care.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognised institution.
• Current registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and a valid practising licence.
• Minimum one year of experience in a retail, community or hospital pharmacy.
• Strong understanding of dispensing, prescription interpretation and pharmaceutical inventory management.
• Good communication and patient/customer service skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily responsibilities.
