Plant Operations & Performance Manager

About the role

Edpack Limited, a growing flexible‑packaging manufacturer, is looking for a hands‑on, results‑driven Plant Operations & Performance Manager to lead manufacturing activities at its Nanyuki plant. Reporting directly to the Director, you will own production performance, quality, cost control and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Drive optimum production output, machine utilisation and overall plant efficiency.
• Plan and coordinate production to meet customer orders and delivery timelines.
• Identify bottlenecks, downtime and inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of raw materials, minimise avoidable wastage and monitor material reconciliation for each run.
• Control labour and man‑hour utilisation, investigate abnormal material losses and production variances.
• Enforce quality controls, minimise rejects, rework and customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead, develop and motivate the production and operations team, fostering a disciplined, safety‑focused culture.
• Collect, process and report operational data, maintain KPIs and dashboards to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, results‑driven professional with at least 24 months of manufacturing operations experience.
• Proven ability to lead production teams and work closely with senior management.
• Strong analytical mindset to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
