Pool Attendant

About the role

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the Club swimming pool and surrounding facilities while providing courteous assistance to members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake routine cleaning and preparation of the swimming pool and poolside areas, removing leaves, debris and other contaminants.
• Monitor the pool area for unsafe conditions, ensure users follow safety rules, and promptly report hazards.
• Assist with routine water‑quality monitoring and report any abnormal colour, odour or contamination.
• Use pool‑cleaning tools and maintain poolside furniture, equipment and related facilities in good condition.
• Provide courteous assistance to members and guests, offering information on pool procedures and directing enquiries as needed.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards, using prescribed protective equipment and cleaning materials.
• Arrange, set up and safely store pool equipment, furniture and recreational items for authorized activities.
• Support emergency and incident‑response procedures, reporting accidents, injuries or hazards immediately.
• Use cleaning materials and supplies responsibly, monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Inspect pool areas and equipment for defects, report issues and maintain related records.
• Assist in preparing the pool for swimming lessons, training sessions, competitions and other events, and help restore facilities afterward.
