Press Manager

About the role

The Press Manager will lead Kabarak University Press operations, overseeing printing, publishing and distribution activities. This full‑time, on‑site role reports to senior university management and is responsible for meeting sales targets and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate digital and hard‑copy records of all press operations and publications.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and coordinate tax and financial transactions.
• Manage service‑provider contracts and ensure timely payment of authors’ royalties.
• Track sales and expenditure, achieving monthly sales targets.
• Organise monthly sales, marketing, book promotions, tours and book‑fair events.
• Identify and manage distribution channels through events, online platforms and social media.
• Oversee the KABU Press Bookstore, procure merchandise and supervise the Administrative Assistant.
• Supervise printing press operations and technical staff.

Required profile

• Master’s in Administration or a related field.
• Relevant administrative experience in printing and publishing.
• Proven success managing administrative teams, driving sales and improving production efficiency.
