Principal Accountant

About the role

President's Award-Kenya is hiring a full-time Principal Accountant in Nairobi. The role is a management-level position overseeing financial accounting and reporting, with a deadline of 23 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the prudent and optimum utilization of Agency Funds
• Prepare financial reports

Required profile

• Cumulative nine years of relevant work experience, including three years at the grade of Senior Finance and Accounts Officer or in a comparable position
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option) or another relevant qualification from a recognized institution
• Passed Part III of the CPA examination or ACCA affiliate exams
• Membership in good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or another recognized professional body
• Completion of a management course of at least four weeks from a recognized institution
• Merit shown through work performance and results

• Proficiency in computer applications
