Principal - College (TVET)

About the role

A client of Brites Management Services is looking for an experienced, professional and results-oriented College Principal to lead the institution strategically. The post covers academic delivery, administration, staff performance, student welfare and overall college operations. It is a full-time position based in Embakasi.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of academic and TVET training programmes, monitor teaching standards, curriculum and student performance, and coordinate exams, assessments and quality improvement.
• Run day-to-day administration, set policies and procedures, and manage records, resources and facilities.
• Lead, supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff, and coordinate their schedules, workload and professional development.
• Oversee student discipline, welfare and attendance, and enforce student policies and codes of conduct.
• Ensure compliance with TVET, education and regulatory requirements, keep licences and records up to date, and maintain quality standards.
• Represent the college with parents, students, regulators and partners, and identify growth opportunities such as partnerships and recruitment.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Education, TVET or a related field.
• Valid TVET teaching/training certification or relevant licence.
• Proven experience in teaching and college/training institution management.
• Minimum age of 40 preferred.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, administration and student management skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate teaching and support staff.
• Good understanding of academic administration and institutional compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
