Principal ICT Officer

About the role

The Coast Water Works Development Agency is seeking a Principal ICT Officer to lead its information technology initiatives. This senior position will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of critical ICT systems that support water and sanitation services across the Coast region.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug computer programs to meet agency needs.
• Maintain and document database systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Develop and enforce systematic coding standards across projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, design, and produce detailed program specifications while liaising with end‑users.
• Prepare regular progress reports on system development and implementation.
• Supervise the creation and upkeep of comprehensive system documentation, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant ICT field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in ICT, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage complex IT projects and lead technical teams.
