Principal – Medprime Training College

About the role

The Principal will lead Medprime Training College in Nairobi, providing strategic academic, administrative and operational direction. The role ensures quality training delivery, student management, staff performance and compliance with Kenyan regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all academic programmes, ensuring curricula, timetables and assessment standards are implemented.
• Manage and develop academic and administrative staff, set performance targets and conduct appraisals.
• Monitor student attendance, progress, retention and address disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with TVET, examination and professional body regulations and prepare for audits.
• Oversee day‑to‑day college operations, including scheduling, resource utilisation and coordination with HR, Finance and IT.
• Drive enrollment, retention and growth initiatives in partnership with admissions and marketing teams.
• Supervise industrial attachment programmes and maintain industry partnerships for student placements.
• Prepare regular reports on academic performance, compliance and operational metrics for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in academic leadership or administration within a TVET, college or training institution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff, manage programmes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong planning, organisational and people‑management skills with high integrity and professionalism.
