About the role
The Procurement Officer will manage the hospital's supply chain and purchasing operations, ensuring efficiency, cost‑effectiveness and value for money. Reporting to the Finance Officer, the role involves implementing sourcing, tendering and purchasing activities.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
- Plan, procure and manage the supply chain of commodities.
- Identify and engage new vendors, maintaining transparent and competitive procurement processes.
- Prepare procurement plans, progress reports and maintain comprehensive procurement files.
- Manage supplier contracts and address any complaints promptly.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
- Minimum of 3 years’ procurement experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Membership of KISM.
Required skills
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong leadership and analytical abilities.
