Product Manager

About the role

Accelera Digital Group is looking for a technically fluent Product Manager in Nairobi to bridge customers, the advisory team and engineering. The role turns real client needs for internal products and custom solutions into shipped software, working closely with engineers and using AI tools to speed the path from insight to feature. It may also involve acting as a Product Owner for clients who do not have one.

Key responsibilities

• Connect customers, the advisory team and engineers so nothing is lost in translation.
• Define and prioritise roadmaps for internal products and active customer engagements.
• Act as a proxy Product Owner for some customers: own their backlog, prioritisation and day-to-day product decisions.
• Turn requirements into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Mock up flows and screens in Figma and build quick, clickable proofs of concept.
• Partner with engineering to ship features end-to-end and make reasoned trade-off calls.
• Join customer conversations to validate solutions and feed field insight back into engineering priorities.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, specification writing, prototyping and data analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise B2B software or client-facing technical delivery.
• Comfortable acting as a Product Owner, including backlog grooming and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on prototyping in Figma (or similar).
• Technical fluency: reading architecture diagrams, understanding APIs and integrations, no production code required.
• Data-driven decision-making and genuine daily use of AI tools.
• Executive presence, autonomy and strong written and verbal communication.
• Nice to have: domain experience such as AI/ML, mobile, SaaS or distributed systems; client delivery background; CSPO or Scrum certification; FinTech background; experience with AI coding tools like Claude.
