Production Manager – Beverage and Plastics/Packaging Plant

About the role

The Production Manager will lead a high‑volume beverage and plastics manufacturing plant, overseeing production, maintenance, engineering, utilities and technical operations. This senior, hands‑on position requires strategic vision and daily floor presence to ensure efficiency, quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor production lines to meet output targets.
• Drive equipment availability, waste reduction and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Oversee PET beverage production, preform and cap moulding operations.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation and pneumatic issues.
• Track KPIs such as efficiency, yield, wastage and quality compliance.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, occupational health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory to avoid stock‑outs and excess.
• Implement cost‑reduction and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop and coach a multi‑disciplinary technical team.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in senior production leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large, automated production lines in a beverage or plastics environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and results‑driven approach.
• Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
