Professor - Clinical Psychology

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time Professor of Clinical Psychology to join its faculty in Nairobi. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities, supporting both undergraduate and graduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.
• Participate in curriculum development to keep programmes current and marketable.
• Engage in program assessment, accreditation reviews and quality assurance.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct scholarly research in the candidate’s area of expertise.
• Provide service to the university, professional bodies and the wider community.

Required profile

• Earned Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral level.
• Relevant publication record meeting CUE standards.
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya (or equivalent professional body) is desirable.
