About the role
Responsible for teaching and supervising students, conducting research, publishing scholarly work, and contributing to academic and departmental activities. The position is based in Konza City and duties are performed on‑site.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and lead research partnerships, collaborations, and linkages nationally, regionally, and internationally.
- Initiate and lead external bids for research funding and consultancies.
- Provide academic leadership in course design, delivery, and compliance with quality standards.
- Supervise students’ theses, dissertations, internships, and attachments.
- Mentor teaching and research staff and promote a vibrant academic environment.
- Champion dissemination of research outputs and collaborate with industry for technology transfer.
Required profile
- Earned PhD in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- At least five years teaching experience as an Associate Professor or nine years research experience.
- Minimum sixty publications, with at least forty in refereed journals.
- Supervised at least ten doctoral students to completion and five master’s students.
- Evidence of patents or commercialised innovations (advantageous).
- Membership in a professional body and knowledge of current ICT.
