About the role
The Institute is seeking professors in Security Computing to lead teaching, research, and industry collaboration. The position is based on‑site in Konza City and involves designing curricula, supervising students, and driving research commercialization.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and lead research partnerships and collaborations nationally, regionally and internationally.
- Initiate and lead external bids for research funding and consultancies.
- Design innovative course content and ensure compliance with the Institute’s quality framework.
- Supervise theses, dissertations, internships and other student projects.
- Mentor academic staff and promote technology transfer and commercialization of innovations.
Required profile
- Earned PhD in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- At least five years teaching as an Associate Professor or nine years research experience.
- Minimum of 60 publications, with at least 40 in refereed scholarly journals.
- Supervised at least ten doctoral students to completion and five master’s students.
- Evidence of patents or commercialised innovations (preferred).
- Membership in a relevant professional body.
- Demonstrable knowledge of current information communication technologies.
- Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
