Program Integrity Specialist – Nairobi

About the role

The Program Integrity Specialist supports the implementation of the USRAP Integrity and Compliance Guide and internal malfeasance prevention measures for Church World Service’s Nairobi office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Integrity, the role leads fraud investigations, ensures corrective actions, and maintains compliance with donor and program requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate fraud and malfeasance investigations in coordination with the Resettlement Support Center and senior compliance staff.
• Plan investigations, gather and document evidence, conduct interviews, and draft detailed investigation and closure reports.
• Monitor daily fraud reporting mechanisms, manage the fraud mailbox, and ensure timely responses to allegations.
• Oversee compliance with the Cooperative Agreement, Integrity and Compliance Guide, and Program Integrity SOPs.
• Support the revision and maintenance of SOPs and develop innovative mitigation strategies.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for funders on program integrity matters.

Required profile

• Experience conducting fraud or compliance investigations, preferably in humanitarian or refugee contexts.
• Strong knowledge of USRAP integrity standards and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and travel to field locations as needed.
• Local national with a professional grade equivalent to Grade 6 specialist level.
