About the role

Action Against Hunger USA is seeking a Program Temporary Support Assistant to provide hands‑on assistance to the Advocacy team focused on the Horn of Africa. This entry‑level position offers practical experience in humanitarian advocacy, policy research, and digital campaigning within a leading non‑profit organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, development, and implementation of advocacy activities and campaigns.
• Assist in creating multimedia packages, policy analyses, toolkits, and social‑media content.
• Help produce and finalize advocacy and external‑relations materials.
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, webinars, and training events.
• Monitor humanitarian landscapes in the Horn of Africa and compile relevant data.
• Manage external‑relations assets, including website updates, social‑media platforms, and monthly newsletters in collaboration with the Global Communications team.
• Ensure all communication products comply with branding and donor guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong interest in humanitarian issues and advocacy work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented with good organizational abilities.
